Hi guys,
I'm new here but am a serious record collector of other genres. I've recently decided to start buy happy hardcore records from up to 98/99 basically. So post jungle/hardcore split up to end of 90s.
I've strategically been trying to knock out catalogues, so Essential Platinum, Impact, Fusion, Hectic, Remix, kniteforce etc...
I've set myself the goal of filling an Ikea expedit unit in next 12 months... So far, so good. But I've noticed that there are lots of shall we say "bitty" releases, labels with only 1 or 2 releases, bootleg series etc... More so than other genres.
Would anyone be kind enough to give me a bit of inspiration? Point me in the direction of what is worth checking, research leads etc...? Cheers

A lot of those labels with only a couple of releases were sub-labels. One idea is to go on www.discogs.com (as you probably already are doing), check out some hardcore labels and usually the sub-labels are listed too. Also just generally browsing artists releases (the labels are shown at the side too) and following the recommendations might bring some useful results.

Yeah discogs is a really good bet!
Use the advanced search
http://www.discogs.com/search/advanced
Then fill it in...
format:vinyl
style:happy hardcore
country:UK
Year: 1996
change the year each time you've killed off all the records from that year - the other thing to do is check out the big names alias's and then click through the record labels they had releases on. That always turns up one or two random labels that only had 1 or two releases!

Sadly not, mate. Most of them I bought digitally and the rest I either bought on vinyl and ripped or convinced dudes on Discogs to do it for me.
I hate vinyl as a format so I kept them around for as little time as possible.
