weird things are happening since last night any page i go onto i get weird popups that keep coming back when i close them i have a thing on the left side of my window that says related searches of whatever site i'm on and everytime i go to look at a topic on here i get a minimum of 2 new windows opening and offering nothing but crap or a survey for this site etc

also random words are highlighted blue/orange and have turned into links (not even gonna dare and click on em lol)

i'm using norton internet security and have run 2 full scans and found nothing don't know if i've downloaded something thats made it do this and don't really have a clue how i can get rid of it

any ideas?

that's because you have Norton. Norton and McAfee are the worst paid anti-virus softwares you can ever own. You might need to download malwarebytes, if your computer even lets you. I'm sure there are other things you can download for free that might be better, this is just one suggeston that has worked for me http://www.malwarebytes.org/

nope still having the same problem with firefox lol keep getting popups for new windows (as in the glass windows type lol) even the bit at the bottom that says "check here to include your profile signature" the part that says profile signature is highlighted blue and is giving ads for window contracters lol

I've had norton since i had my own computer and it never failed me. I can remember one time when i actually got a virus and that's cos i turned it off to speed up my old shitty computer while producing music (whoops).

Never failed me.

My mate talked me into trend micro... piece of shit.

When it comes to malware infections, there's one cleaning tool which - in my experience - shits all over the rest.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

I've used it to revive hopelessly infected systems. Give it a go! :)
