Sorry if this is in the wrong sections. (also I know there's an event page but it doesn't post all genre's and not that well in advance as I'm hoping)
I'm from Australia and saving up roughly $15k to go to europe for music festivals and clubbing.
The main issue is I don't know many events in europe since there are so many, same with clubs so I need some help.
What events and clubs should I visit around August and September this year in Europe (2014)
Music genre's I like
- hardstyle (old and new)
- hardcore (all including mainstream, happy, gabber etc..)
- hands up
- hard trance
- M?kina
Any help is greatly appreciated.
(if you mention a club please mention country and city)

It might help if you posted what countries you're going to visit, or what part of Europe if you're going for InterRail type of thing.

I deliberately didn't post the countries I'm visiting since I'm going where the music takes me, if an event is in a country I'll go to that country, so first I need to know the events and such before the countries :P. and haven't decided on interRail yet since same reason, need to know where I'm going first which will be based on events

Actually you'll be missing Tomorrowland because that happens in July, and honestly they mostly have nothing but mainstream house and trance crap playing throughout the weekend, with only 1 maybe 2 hard dance stages, one of them being a Q-Dance stage. You'll also be missing Defqon.1 and Dominator, which come in June and July. Those 2 are really the ones you should have considered going to, as they are massive 40,000+ events and Defqon.1 focuses on hardstyle, while Dominator focuses on gabber hardcore, with both of them playing other forms of hard dance music. But you're not completely out of luck yet there are still a few in Europe those 2 months you'll be there.
The Qontinent is a Q-dance event that happens the first half of August, and they play a lot of hardstyle there. No set date for 2014 but I'm sure there's a good chance they'll bring it back. Here's the main site for it with some info of this past year's Qontinent
If you're looking for an alternative to Qontinent, then there's also Ibiza Goes Hard. They're in their 3rd year now, and they mostly focus on gabber hardcore, but do play some other hard dance genres. It's a smaller event, and you won't find the huge-named djs as you would at large-scale events, but you never know what they have in store for this year. This event is similar to HTID In The Sun, although most people say it's in a better location
Following the weekend of Qontinent, Decibel is also an event that focuses on hardstyle and hardcore, as well as other hard dance genres. This is probably your chance of a large-scale event, because there's over 50,000 people that go to it.
Beginning in September, there's Q-Base, another Q-Dance event. Very similar to Qontinent as I can tell, with a focus on hardstyle with other hard dance genres involved.
And there is this new event that will happen closer to the end of September, Ravers Ibiza. It's pretty much similar to HTID In The Sun in that it lasts 7 days, but it may not have the exact same djs and there are multiple venues from what I gather and it takes place on Ibiza island instead of mainland Spain. It should be interesting to see how it goes down.
