Bunch of bikers being wankers!

Maybe they didn't quite deserve to get run over but they made it happen.

Just as a counter argument though, I hate cars that sit in the middle lane for no reason.

lol the car had every right to be in the middle lane, and it wouldn't have been "sitting" there had it not been for the wreckless driving of the bikers. These biker groups do this all the time they criss cross in front of cars like this all the time. The thing that happened here is because the bikers were being complete dumbasses, they pretty much invited the SUV to accidentally hit them, which pissed off the whole group who didn't have anything to do with it. But group mobs being as they are, you screw with one you screw with all of them.

Personally I might have ended up doing the same thing eventually, but I would have had my wife call the cops at the same time.

Important to note though, that's Daily Mail, which is the UK equivalent of the Enquirer.

yeah I was wondering why you're on the daily mail website, especially when the incident in question happened in the US lol

Heres the video without adverts (apparently daily mail also forces you to watch adverts so that go go hang!)

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=319_1380522846

It's clear the riders were in the wrong. surrounding him for what appears to be no reason...and then slowing him down to a stop, where they continue to surround him.

What happened leading up to it though to make them act like that? Still not matter what it is, all those bikers against one guy, his wife and child? Seems like a fair fight. Real men!

Hah! turns out the video I posted was the exact page and video where it first appeared

Good old live leak!

Apparently NYC have now banned the event, so I guess it was the riders in the wrong.

The daily mail seemed like the only one that reported it when I first saw the video posted online. I didn't see any US news agencies that weren't gossip-like news sites. Also DailyMail has been pretty accurate in many of their stories about some things here in the US. Here's the New York Times report, posted like almost 2hrs after DailyMail

well as far as speed goes I think it's because dailymail have their finger on the liveleak pulse. They've caught on that a hell of a lot of first-time news items usually come from liveleak.

As far as them being 'accurate', that entirely depends on what agenda you look for in your news ;)

Anytime I see a biker that is clearly displaying his gang affiliations I stay the hell away. I have a huge fear of accidentally nudging one of them with my car.

Also when bikes zoom pass me in traffic, I move over if I can, I don't want my side view mirror getting knocked off.

Man, that video is my fear realized.

I'm a biker myself, these guys are punks on the bikes. I think the car didn't mean to hit the first bike but the reaction from the group of bikes to surround the car was not cool and ended up this way. The bikers provoked the entire thing

Similar to silver I'm a rider. I've sometimes ridden in groups somewhat like this but not often. In a given situation I will usually defend riders to the hilt, about 90% of the bad press we get is completely undeserved. A few points to make.
1. It's fairly obvious something happened at the start as a provocation and we don't see what that is. However:
2. The rider who slowed down into the driver is a ****ing idiot.
3. The vehicle and driver was illegally stopped and detained by force. At this point, the rule book goes out the window. A person is entitled to use a reasonable level of force to defend and protect him or herself in such a situation. The same would count if you were surrounded by a gang of people after you had a disagreement with one person. As its 50 to 1 a sub-machine gun on full auto would still count as self defence.
4. Put me in the car and I would do more than just run away as that driver did. If cornered like that I would be going forward and backward hitting anyone I could. Especially if I had a Range Rover weapon at my disposal.
5. The mother of the guy run over can stick it where it never gets moist anymore. Her son has a wife two kids and should be taking responsibility for himself and his family rather than being surface scum in the lowlife pond. I won't say he deserves everything he got, but he reaped what was sowed. Here's hoping his partner leaves with the kids and finds someone worthwhile.
