If you missed the top page news.
If you ever have had taken a closer look at the fine print on vinyl record or the jacket notes you might recognize the name Paul Rodriguez. He is also the voice intro for the song Hixxy - Thou Shalt Not Forget.
Paul Rodriguez was a music publisher for hundreds of happy / uk hardcore artists since the music was born and represented thousands of songs. We have learnt that Paul passed away this week, he will be missed.
RIP Paul Rodriguez.

Just because you aren't a dj, producer, or even an MC, does not mean you are not a major contributor to the scene. There are plenty of people out there that have made major contributions behind the scene that don't have their name plastered all over flyers and whatnot. seriously your comment was beyond stupid.

obviously not a major contributor to the scene, but he did have quite the "old british guy storyteller's" voice going on.
He's was not an artist he was a publisher, he was instrumental to hardcore in the early days, everyone from Hixxy, Darren Styles, Orbit1, even me was signed to him as a publisher.

I don't think they where unnecessary. Paul Rodriguez was a huge contributor to the scene and will be missed by a lot of people no doubt. I'm sure he's contributed far more than you to the scene.

Wow. That was a bit of an unnecessary jab... No need to be condescending. But I suppose I should expect it on here.
Silvers comment seemed fine to me. You said he wasn't a major contributor and he put you right
Sad to hear. Like most people I've only been aware of him through his voice, but needless to say we might not have the scene we know today if not for his graft years ago.
I am curious, however. How old was he when he passed away? There seems to be a certain generation of early Hardcore producers and they all seem to be in their late 30's or 40's. It would be extremely sad if he died as young as that

ehm. Latininxtc was the comment he was refering to, not silver's.
And no matter how big you are, if people don't hear your name on the track itself, they will never know of you. Not all people read the CD Booklets for full information.

Sorry to hear about Paul. Have noticed his name in albums and things over the years and yeah his vocals in Thou Shalt Not Forget.

Never once have I said I contributed a thing or made any kind of comparison between myself and anyone else.
And I was not referring to silver's comment at all, it was more so the DB way in which someone else brought their point across. Find it odd how a lot of people on this board jump at the chance to put down others on a supposed happy forum.
