Although I consider most of the stuff being played there shit, it's hard not to be impressed with this festival. With over 300,000 people, and according to them an audience from over 270 countries participating, you've really gotta give them props. Here's a link if anyone wants to see some of it live as well as recaps of some of the DJs. I'm hoping they highlight the QDance stage.

Sadly I don't think they're gonna show either of those on this channel, but one could hope. I found that muting the sound and having the hardcore underground albums make the stream all more pleasurable, the only downfall is all the lights and people are moving retardedly slow lol.

Oddly enough it's in a town not even 30minutes from me, yet it doesn't really appeal that much to me to go. There's always a few tickets flying around on the sales and wants forum at work, but seems a bit expensive to me for what it is. Had lots of friends today posting updates on facebook about today's event, oh and a Flemish girl on my news feed who's just had her iphone stolen at tomorrowland, the pictures look alright, but still think I prefer the smaller more intimate events.

TBH I find the size of the event more impressive than anything else. I'm not a fan of the majority of the music being played there, so I would have only stuck to the Qdance stage as well as the 90s stage. Of course I still walk around to grab some nice pics and videos, but other than that nah. Also a lot of the people I see there are very similar to the douchebaggy people who people say have been plauguing EDC the past couple of years. So I definitely don't see myself getting along with many people there haha.
The main stage looks badass in the day, but at night it's rather lackluster, whereas defqon.1's stage was the exact opposite. Honestly their light show the 1st night was just OK. Seeing vids of smaller events than this like Qdance events, and wow their lightshow and pyrotechnics are insane! And they sure as hell don't have the same amount of money as Tomorrowland invests for their events.
But I think what I find upsetting the most about this event is that every single set on the mainstage looks to have been completely prerecorded. Come f**king on, DJing without headsets??? or not even wearing them??? Jumping up and around and shit while you're supposedly transitioning tracks? That is some ******** and I wouldn't pay that insane amount of money to hear pre-recorded sets.

The biggest problem with events like this (of this size/popularity) for me, is that the majority of people aren't there for the music at all. It's become some kind of strange social status to be at "tomorrowland". So I think pre-recorded sets are all the rage, because most of the punters don't care about the actual DJ'ing side of things. That's why I prefer the smaller events, and I'm sure I can just hit a quaint club in Antwerp and have more fun, that's just my preference though. I mean the Flemish girl who's had her phone stolen today at tomorrowland (who I know from work), doesn't even like electronic music, still by all accounts of her status updates (apart from the iphone walking off) she seems to be enjoying herself.

Not bad this year, roughly 100 people arrested for drug related offences and only the one person stabbed, there's been worse tomorrowlands, so at least that sides improving.

I don't get being annoyed at pre-recorded sets you know..
more often than not the people pre-recording sets still **made** half of the music they put in them! which is far more talented than just mixing one song into the next.

I find it incredibly strange that anyone got stabbed at all!
