Well I am unable to have a look at your link, but I must confess I liked and bought Aqua's first album (and I still listen to it). It was the only Electronic Music I've heard being played by American radion stations in the 90's.
My personal favorite track is "Roses Are Red".

They would always broadcast a DJ's set live on Saturday night from the club he played. I think they still do that, although it's nothing but hip hop shit that gets played.
Believe me: NYC was an electronic desert these days for radio station. The majority of people in this area who were aware of such a music existing were either Homosexuals, European immigrants or very deeply involved pre-ravers. The only radio station playing European music was a weekly Jewish hour which played vinyls from the 1920'as and nearly every 2nd track they had to apologise because of the poor quality of the records.
A guy that was 3 years younger than me and visited GSNY as well wrote a report about the NYC scene these days and it sounded just like being compareable to the European one 3 years after the main overkill (you must understand: I was 11-13 years old while living in the US, so I'm not 100% familiar with the underground back those times, although my oldest sister was interested in electronic music back these days and even bought a faked ID to be able to join the clubs in NYC, but she has musically developed very differently to what I'd call being a part of Rave culture!

going through one of my older youtube accounts and ran into this on my favorites page haha
BTW, I didn't know this when I first heard it years ago, but much later I found out that they changed their line referencing Michael Jackson. At first they had "When M&M was just a snack, and Michael Jackson's skin was black." They changed that to something like "when Arnie (Arnold Swartzeneger) said that he'll be back."
