Album of the day:
Sparrowsound - Free to a good home
This doesn't count as hardcore anymore now that hardcore has been through the blender so many times and chances are many would not have been around when this was released on rfugrey 005. Simply astounding music. Guy was only about 16 or 17 when he produced this too. Beautiful.

Album of the Day:
P.O.D. - Satellite
POD was an interesting band. No two albums really sound alike. Prior to their success they did mostly rapcore/metal. Fundamental Elements of Southtown was simply raw sound. Satellite was somewhat typical numetal. Payable on Death was mellower. Testify was mellower again but quite different, quite funky. I never ended up listening to When Angels and Serpents Dance, despite owning it for years. I should do that one day.
Satellite was just a great album. POD is just a great band, certainly one of my favourite bands.

Brian Altano - Misanthrope
It's very different. It's very good. It's an electronica/instrumental album for free download from here. My wife's brother-in-law (technically not my brother-in-law I think) put me onto this one. It is very proggy, though aslo very electronic based. My one bugbear with it is imo an overuse of distorted drums. But really, that's fairly minor all told. Matt & Jay, I reckon you'll love this one.
