I'll give it a run, I found The American similarly underrated.

Super8 annoyed me. Bait and switch simply isn't horror. The girl is weirdly cute, mainly because I have a friend that could have been a splitting image of her 8-10 years ago and isn't bad at all.

Hmm...
In Bruges - best black comedy ever. Ever.
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Good the Bad The Ugly
Princess Bride
Dr Strangelove
Boondock Saints
Green Mile
Lock,Stock/Snatch/Rocknrolla
Stand By Me
Barry Lyndon
Star Wars
Once upon a time in America
V for Vendetta
LOTR
The Departed
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Primal Fear
Cool Hand Luke - The single best line in movie.

I really like the train crash/explosion. Insane. All I heard was how bad that film was but for some reason I love it. I must be an odd one ;)

I need to get watching some movies. I've only watched snatch and lock stock out of all those you listed Lilley :(

Super8 is the only one in your list I've watched. Funny, because I consider myself to have a half decent movie knowledge but by no means extensive.

It's not going to blow your mind, but it's well worth watching.

The American was decent, too. Nice atmosphere to it. I forget what country it was set in, but that small-village feel mixed with Clooney's silent-type acting was interesting.

In Bruges is an unbelievably good film. Some other top ones on your list there as well.

Gave up on the grey. I've had several people its a good movie, but I could tell it's not a movie I would watch to see a movie so to speak. Same goes for Requiem for a dream.

I've had people tell me the american has no storyling/point. To me that meant they didn't get it. I'm finding myself quite a fan of limited dialogue movies, though I didn't really like No Country for old men.

Some I forgot:
Enemy at the gates
Three Kings
Layer Cake (imo craig's best effort and sienna miller is super hot)
