On other forums I frequent, they have a button at the bottom of each post saying "like" and another saying "thanks" These would be handy on this forum as to show popular threads.
One other thing is that when you view your own/ someone else's profile it would be nice to have buttons linking to posts they have liked/thanked and a button showing all of their previous forum posts, so that it would be easier to get to know that member and to navigate the forums.
Just a thought.

All good ideas! Especially the post history on people's profiles. There sort of is one now, but it's just for recent topics visited, as opposed to actual posts made historically.
It's good when new users come in and kick up a stink - I'm just so used to the place now, it doesn't even cross my mind to think of ways to improve it.
