Team Rocket arent bad, they have played some great sets, for eg: the last Utopia at the Superdome, and more recently Thrillseeka 2. But to me there is better
Nothing beats Weaver 'n' Suae on a good day, come to think of it, ive never heard them play a bad set.
Also Rapid team-X (Fenix, Marcos and MC Losty)
Its awesome, the 1st 20mins of the set the play as per normal, then the 2nd 20mins the play about 15 tracks (changing tracks every 60 to 90 seconds) and then finish the last 20mins with anthems (usually).

... then you got guys like Velocidex, who IMO deserves a main arena spot, and Marcos (he makes your ears bleed when he's not having a great night, but when he's on the ball he's nothing short of amazing). Oh, and I doubt if any other DJ in Sydney can match Matrix for technical ability.
Oh, and the Rapid-X track-basher is usually 20 tracks in 20 minutes (MC Losty counts 'em out).

strychnine, ull get to see Velocidex at HSG ... correction, u wont, Velocidex is playing from 9-10 with Tom-E

IMO Elroy's probably the best turntablist out of the hardcore DJ's, but he doesn't always play hardcore ... come to think of it, neither do Matrix or Suae. Put it into perspective though, any of the guys/gals who play in the Utopia breaks arena would probably shit all over any of the hardcore DJ's when it comes to scratching.
*EDIT*
It just occurred to me that Elroy is one of the guys/gals who play in the Utopia breaks arena. He does play a fair bit of hardcore though, so AFAIC he's still one of the hardcore guys.
...
Back to Team Rocket, didn't Destiny leave the group? That leaves QT and PSI, and PSI's not that great a DJ IMHO, which leaves QT as the primary talent in Team Rocket. Don't get me wrong here, I think QT is an awesome DJ (witness her killer set at M5), but you gotta wonder what the other two are contributing, apart from some really bad MC'ing :P

Hey what ever happend to dj Vagas, that guy spun some good happy hardcore, as did Dj Sub Zero and Spellbound. And has anyone heard from DJ Angus - that guy can scratch like a nut. Also does any one have this tape of Dj Vagas - liberal party , if anyone does have it I'll pay em $60 for it.

Last time I heard Sub-zero play was a b2b with Fenix on the Eckythump love boat, and man it was a killer set. Don't know what happened to the rest, though ... although I agree with you that Vagas rocked (CNS 2 remains one of my favourite CD's of all time).
Spellbound turned trance for a while, but his last 2 sets at Happysnax6 and on the Love Boat were awesome hardcore sets - I think everyone was bouncing so hard to that last one we almost hit our heads on the cabin roof

BDW if anyone has the track summer of love on mp3 or knows where it is drop us an email or send us the link.

I think Spellbound left for NY, with HS6 and Eckythump Love Boat as his 'goodbye' raves ... anyways while it's nice to bring up all these old names and reminisce, fact is we still have some great talent in the current crop IMO - we shouldn't forget that 5-10 years down the track ravers will be talking about Matrix and the rest the same way we talk about Vagas et al.
