Has anyone here used or tried this DAW? Or anyone in the HC community? I've been wanting to do a collab but it seems like I'm the only one that uses it :C

This is what I'm talking about: http://studioone.presonus.com/

:D

I never used v1 but the v2 interface certainly looks a lot better. I really like the emphasis on drag-and-drop; combined with keyboard shortcuts I can really fly around the program! I still have a lot to learn about it though. I've recently been reading up on mixing in S1 - it's certainly different from Cubase!

think i tried the trial version several months ago, but i couldn't find any reason to buy it (already had bought FL producer edition)... although i now know that there's a free version, but no VST support is a real buzzkill for me (Podium Free is another not-so well known one which I've tried and actually will recommend. It's free, it's lightweight, and while it may take getting used to if you've used another DAW for so long, it's simple and straightforward enough that you'll catch on eventually. i should know, i tried it out specifically to see how i'd recommend it to people on a budget)

I used to use this a few years ago. It's a great bit of kit as it goes.

Yeah i was using it because there is a free version. But then i discovered i can't use VST's with it so i had to stop (i don't really use VST synths but i definately use VST effects/signal processors). Also couldn't get MIDI output to work, but then i never really tried too hard. It's good though, i like it. And for just plain audio recording and editing i would definitely recommend it as it's free.
