Me too. :D Not long to wait now at least! Is there no way to get Dave outside of the UK (web etc.)? Guess the DVD's will follow soon or you could just grab it on the web "unofficially" lol. Sure it'll be around on the day/day after at the latest. If it's any good I'll probably grab the DVD's too as I have all the others (excluding B2E as it's pants).

I'm very much looking forward to this! So glad they're back filming in front of a live audience again - It really improves their performance

So you know when to laugh?
I've very much heard mixed reports of red dwarf, some people who love it, others who think they left all the funny parts out of the script. Similar to much british comedy I guess. Is it similar in comic style to league of gentlemen?

Red Dwarf is a very clever comedy, you often need to think & understand a little science to appreciate it.
The audience certainly doesn't need to be told when to laugh, as I said, this is not 'canned laughter', it's filmed in front of a live audience and I believe this enhances the actors stage presence.

I suppose people either get British comedy or you don't, but if you do you'll realise it is unbeatable.
I must admit, I wasn't a RD follower all those years ago, partly because it was just before my time but I've watched since it came to Dave & have to say it really is genius. Again, if you get it.

No. British comedy is so diverse and contrary to itself that it really can't be defined in anyway other than 'comedy from brittain'. Some of the monty python group tricks were excellent some were less than excellent. Messrs Jay and Lynn were hilarious but League of Gentlemen was underwhelming - and that's being kind.

If there was anything in life for me to look forward to it's this... Back to Earth was less than what I expected but going from the trailers this looks pretty decent. Doesn't look like time's changed it too dramatically. Definately can't wait, I wonder if there'll ever be a finale too... Will they ever get back to earth and what will have happened? The story's gotta go somewhere right? :P

Lilley - Give it a try! It's definitely among the better comedy series to come out of the UK. I love Monty Python but it's certainly much more consistent and less random than that though. Make sure you start from episode 1 though, it's definitely worth watching in the correct order.

Yeah definitely, it has gotta help with knowing you've delivered the timing right etc. I'd love to go and watch one of the live shows actually, need to look into it.

If they do ever get back to earth I hope they either don't actually film any episodes there or it's destroyed. The show belongs in space!
