hey, started doin mash ups n wondered do u have to master them as the 2 tunes are mastered already? I use t-racks normally bt when i do it on the mash up it gives of a kinda slight high end screech. I use preset loud and clear, I know i could alter the high end eq setting bt i never hav to do that when Ive made a tune myself. any info appriciated cheers :)

by the sounds of it you know whats wrong & how to change it, every tune is gonna be mastered differently. unlike you're own tunes of which all will be slightly similar, due to the learning curve & you're own methodical work flow.

I would assume not. If tracks have already been mastered they'd have been EQ'd compressed and limited quite a bit already. By mastering it more you'll be doing more damage to the sound.

I think all you'd have to do is put a limiter on the whole thing. You shouldn't have to worry about doing any EQing or compressing as the tracks have been mastered already. By putting a limiter on, all you'll be doing is preventing any clipping from occurring, which would most likely happen when two tracks are put on top of each other.
