Just want to say how gutted I am. Beastie Boys are one of my biggest musical influences. Feels like a significant part of my youth has gone.

some group that was labeled as hip-hop/rap for most of their career. They had some pretty popular tracks in the 90s, but personally I was never a fan of their stuff. I even thought it was ridiculous that they won best rap performance by duo or group, beating out Rosa Parks by Outkast. Although it is sad to hear about this. They were never a controversial group and most ppl only have nice things to say about the individuals themselves.

Pauls Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication, for me are 3 faultless albums from start to finish. Not one single tune on those 3 albums i'd skip. Just an awesome melting pot of hip hop, punk, funk and jazz.
