I have not been on this site in years. I remember seeing so many ravers here and had always wanted to go to one but at my age that was just not easy for me. Now I'm 18, and have freedom.
I am a hoop dancer, a good one at that. My friend who is pretty known for what she does invited me to Jamestown, NY for a thing called Dedication to Dance. It was supposed to be breakdancers and hoopers. Well anyways we get there, and as I'm walking in it's like this is a rave. YES! But anyways, no breakdancers showed up but there were loads of hoopers using thier LED's on the dancefloor. My friend and I killed it, and got tons of cheers. All I can say is it was great! I loved the people, and the music. It reminded me of the love I have for HHC years ago, but it became so real then. Really something I wish I could do every night.
I had to share this, it was to exciting to come back to this site and remember all the ravers I used to see here! Anybody else wanna share thier first rave story?

I was at my first rave last year. the last freeformation in london in july. To be honest it did feel akward to go to it alone since I was alone in a foreign country (and city), to recognise no one until I finally got in and some recognised me, and I a few of them. Heck even Kevin Energy recognised my name since I was the only one or one of the few from Sweden there :P
Other than that it was nice, but if I had just gotten some sleep before, I could've been there till 6am, and atleast go in and say hello in the after party

And I wish I could go to a huge rave, this one was small, but heck, still a great time!

I wouldn't worry about it. It's only because of the drugs that everyone else manages to stay awake.

I'd take drugs if they invented one that stops your feet from hurting but has absoultely no other effects whatsoever.

I guess I would have been 15 or 16, a field in cornwall, proper acid techno, smitten stuff - wasn't my style..didn't enjoy it. stuck with the hard house/hard trance nights in cluds after that.

My first rave was March of last year and they pretty much played every flavor of house imaginable. I remember really liking the Booty House segment and then the Techno segment later in the night.
And the trick to staying through the whole rave is hydration.

What is the censored word? Alcohol is a drug and provided you keep drinking does help you (me) to stay awake.

Hm... How would you define a rave?
To my own personal definition and expections, I'd say it was my first Goa after NekoShuffle recommended it to me last year. The atmosphere is astonishing with the combination of the music, the lights, the people and the decoration.
My first and last HHC-rave was in February this year. It wasn't very big (I'd guess about 30 persons), but again the atmosphere was quite nice. Not as good as at Goas, but I preferd the music. Newer UK-Hardcore mixed with German and Dutch classics.
