If you aren't sure, try living together for a year or few and see how it works. If you're still a happy reasonable couple, get married. If things change too much towards worse, you can always divorce (a process that can last a year).
We've been together 2 months, and so far, it's just something we've accepted as a difference between us. I just recently started re-thinking about it and I wish I wouldn't had. We are planning on moving in together May 4th.
well its good to think things through before getting married. but don't you think 2 months is little too soon?

Just my opinion without reading all the waffling that has occured...
You're Christian and your in a homosexual relationship...Is there not people hating on you considering homosexuality is like the mother of all sins? (if your into believing that..I'm not personally love is love...it doesn't discriminate by gender)
So does it really matter?
sorry to sound harsh and all but i only see religion important in a relationship if its going to cause problems about marriage..like you cant get married in that religions church unless your both said religion.
this is why i dont bother

I assumse latinxtc is joking.
The reason for the line of thinking presented by warped is that proper christianity (not just lip service to it) has such a deeply personal involvement that having a husband/wife that does not conform to the same would quite significantly effect your relationship. Imagine it this way. The person you marry you are more or less supposed to start sharing the same life, sharing all that you do, all that you think, all your problems and issues. If they cannot share in your christianity which to you is likely to be the most significant part of your life, they really can't share with you at all.

I highly doubt he was considering proposing. I think he was asking in general, and thinking long term.

As homosexuals, they can marry formally only, not in any Christian Church. Besides, by my knowledge, you don't have to pick the same religion to marry in a Christian Church.

In Catholic churches both partners need to be Catholic and undivorced.

Not really. Not in most countries at least.

If you really love her/him, religion should never matter.

It's funny watching people who obviously have no idea about religion of any sort contribute their opinions nonetheless.

Religion is just a useless thing in modern age. Most say they're Christian and barely know who Jesus was.
