Bought an old saxo 2 weeks ago and popped my good old trusty kenwood in to replace the tape player and I have a big problem! Every time I switch the car off it goes to standby with no memory of what was played on CD (very annoying when it comes to packs) or radio settings. Any ideas people?

had this same problem with one of my older cars fairly sure I needed a different ISO cable, or the iso cable isn't hooked up correctly

you'll have to do a bit of research into the car's current connections and the ISO connections on your new stereo, I'll check with the wife when I get home I'm sure she'll remember what the exact issue was (she's a qualified mechanic!).

Are you gonna mod it? Could make it a right chick magnet:

I had this problem at my old Fiesta as well. In my case the position of the connection of the cable to the battery needed to get changed, so the radio was able to get power from it after you turned off the engine.

you could always snip & take the yellow wire to the battery, yellow is normally the permanent live, drastic.... yes when an iso is so cheap to buy
