Do a cover, no legal problems and you only have to credit them you don't need to ask direct permission.

The remix of Everybody In The Place on Ripped 2 Fcuk Vol 8 is by Sy, Unknown, and Gammer, but only Gammer is credited on there. Gammer used to release his solo 2002-2004 stuff on Quosh, hence why he appeared on this Ripped 2 Fcuk release. The A side on R2F008 is a remix of Candee Jay's 'If I Were You' by Sy, Unknown, and Adam Harris. I know this because Adam Harris is credited on the Ripped 2 Fcuk release, but on a recent digital release from North Sea Records in 2021, Sy & Unknown are credited on it.
