So fellow HH forum stalkers, who/what do you consider your biggest inspirations?
As far as DJ's for me, I'd say:
1. Orbit1
2: Fracus
3: Skrillex
Yes, Skrillex! Surprisingly his music, though it's Dubstep, is what inspired me to start producing hardcore in the first place. I heard his song 'Scary monsters and nice sprites' last summer, instantly knew I wanted to be just like that. I had it in my head that no matter what, I'd become a producer and make other people feel just as happy listening to my music as I felt just then listening to his. I have other DJ's that inspire me of course, but these are my top 3 as of now.
I know I have such a long way to go, and special thanks to Dys7 and SpiritWolf for helping me learn the ropes!

1. Orbit1(his promo mixes in 2008 are what got me hooked, i still talk to him on skype/twitter)
2. Kesean Beat(he actually taught me to write music)
3. Archefluxx(my first real friend in hardcore)

Inspiration in what? Everything?
My greatest inspiration has been Sergej Fedorov, who played hockey for Detroit Red Wings.

In Production?
I don't make shit yet :P

In Mixing?
I would say makina DJ's. I'm kinda stuck in the overlapping mixing style.

here there and everywhere.

its probably easier to say what least inspires me - 90% of what is in the charts at the moment.

Hard to define... Orbit1, Technikore and Kors K I think. In Hands Up that'd be... Boosterz Inc and DJ Gollum maybe?

haven't listened to liberator in awhile, should add beastie boys to my inspiration as well...I mean there wouldn't of been jungle in the mid to late 90s if it wasn't for them

I don't listen to too much acid techno anymore, but from 95 to 2005 I was well into it, and Chris Lib is the reason I started mixing. At a time when I was just into hardcore and Jungle I remembering hearing Danny Rampling play London Acid City on the love groove dance party, and I was like, what the **** is this? This is awesome! Went out and bought the 'It's not intelligent, it's not from detroit, but it's ****ing avin' it' album and the next few years went by in haze of techno and free partys.
During the 90s I idolised the Beasties, Pauls Boutique, Check you head and Ill Communication to me are 3 of the most perfect albums ever recorded.
I should probably mention the Prodigy as well as my introduction to hardcore with Experience, and also politicising me with Jilted. That combined with Eternity magazine and the aforementioned Chris Lib turned me into the raving lefty I am today.

I still try to listen to acid but the stuff I still go weak in the knees for is the 90s stuff. I have chris's live @ wemf 2002 in my car right now though =P

hell yeah prodigy was/is a huge influence. still remember the first time I watched the video for no good.

my youngest son has the middle name liam due to them =P

Hyoer On Experience, Leonard Cohen and Nine Inch Nails would be the musicians that have most influenced me, I think.

I don't really have any inspirations.. Basshunter got me interested in Fruityloops, once I heard he made all his stuff on FL Studio I thought I'd have a crack, turned out I was shit... But I carried on with it.

I didn't know any producers before producing and all I had to go off in terms of learning how to make music was the internet which is why my stuff doesn't really sound like anyone elses work (I don't think)...

I could say though that I'd want to make similar music to S3rl, but with a more mainstream UK hardcore feel to it (just with the catchy and EXTREMELY cheesy vocals) but I like making a bit of everything tbh, even if I'm not as good as all the top producers :P
