There are loads of chord progressions that just work. The punters like it and it easyto work with. This is one of them.

Please don't tell me you've you missed the point of that track?

What have we it called?

I'm just messing. It's not a criticism, it's a nice track. I wasn't really paying much attention to the name to be honest which I assume you are referring to but you still made it though lol.

I've updated the mix. Tell me if it sounds any better or if it needs a bit more tweaking. Thanks.

The issue with disagreeing with Ionosphere is that you are automatically outnumbered :) I enjoyed the track. The chord progression is over used, but I think to be fresh is to be brave. If you are knew to a genre, particularly Hardcore or Happy Hardcore, its a 'safe' progression, and I guess a sure why way to get a decent track with a good riff, and practice getting a nice mix down and production.

Thanks. No where have I stated that I disagree with Ionosphere though, in fact I agree. I said that the other stuff I'm working on doesn't use this progression and that if I like a song it doesn't matter to me that much if it is a little bit cliched, then I made a joke about him doing the same whether he was doing it intentionally to make a point or not. And I am new to producing this genre of music but not new to production so yea I agree it is a good place to start.

After listening to it three times I agree with Audio Warfare.

It's a good effort but now hit us with something of your own.

If you want something of my own that sums up my style then this is one of my best examples even if it's not exactly hardcore: http://soundcloud.com/dj-john-jarvis/morning-light-2011-mix . I love epically uplifting stuff. I also programmed every single one of those synth sounds which I'm quite proud of lol.

Great track.

Love the piano and build up.

Lead reminds me of hixxys 2002sh tracks.

Nice mate, your trance tune is absolutely gorgeous. Pretty much everything I like about the track, strings, piano, trance gates, arps, synth and I like the kick and hihat all works very nicely together. A beauty mate.

Thanks. Yea when you listen to it there is quite a lot of different parts in that track. I made the first version which is quite similar to this version in 2008 and it's still probably my best.

I can't believe this topic is still going since last month with over 500 views. I'm not quite sure how I managed that lol. Not that I'm complaining
