ok. I might have understood what Auto tune is... but isn't that how he sounds like? I thought auto-tuning was when you took a spoken segment that isn't lyrical and makes it sound like it is sung?

No, that is just an extreme example of it. Autotuning is used on nearly all vocals in pop music etc. It's used too much and sounds awful.

I guess it's used alot cuz it sounds good? :p
Well that's debatable isn't it? I don't think you are suggesting average pop sounds good and no one with any real taste in music would. Anyway, aside from that, it gives the record labels the chance to pick their vocalists purely on appearance, saving them a lot of hassle of having to find someone good looking who can also sing well.

Yea im not a fan of the average pop sound. I just like autotune when they use it to create the robotic /electronic sounding voice which would not be possible normally.

*PRAISE THE LORD* Finally somebody with the same thougths as me when it comes to autotune. HighInDaSky, is this band Japanese? Because Japanese songs always have that special feeling to it which makes it, well.. Japanese :) Love that style though.
And I absolutely hate the way the autotune is being used in the pop scene these days. Makes me want to smack the artists and ask them why they make music. They're basically telling me they can't sing, because they use the autotune so much.
Anybody else get that hate-feeling inside when they are singing and using the autotune on high notes? *clicks on the power button on the radio*
