Hey Guys!
As you may or may not know, my name is Steven Seguin, and I run things around here for 7D! This will be short, but I would just like to show my thanks and appreciation to everyone who has made 7D become what it is today!
The original idea for 7D was created in January 2011, but nothing was officially released until April 2011. The Original idea for this album changed a lot compared to the final product. Originally there were supposed to be only 4 Djs, and all the mixes would be the same genres. But as things progressed, I changed my view on it and wanted it to stand out, so I decided to put more genres and more mixes, but at the same time not have too much!I also wanted to show the public that there is more Electronic genres other than techno. So 7 was the magic number!
When releasing 7D 1, I did not know what to expect. Will it do well? Will it fail? Is it not enough? What if the public doesnt like the genres chosen? All of this running through my mind as the first weeks of 7D went on. But once that first month went by, all of that went away. 7D 1 got over 500 downloads, and for a brand new album, no one knows about, 500 is a pretty good number. After that, I knew it would only get bigger and bigger, and it did.
7D 2. Well, what can I possibly say thats negative about 7D 2? You got your free tracks, and an amazing genre selection! 7D 2 had a better release by a little bit compared to 7D 1, 600+ downloads. I can honestly say, I was growing happier and happier with this album. At this point, I cleared my MP3 player of anything that wasnt 7D! And to this day, 90% of my MP3 is 7D (its a 8GB MP3, dont laugh).
7D 3. WELL! What a fantastic album this was! 3000+ downloads, 7D biggest so far! A stunning lineup including Audio Warfare and Stray, and who can forget about that old timer DMS? Banging mixes from start to finish! 7D 3 was the first volume to feature contest winners. Because of this album, I knew I had to come up with something bigger for the next release, which I found to be hard task, but everything worked out.
7D 4. Currently still being released, 7D 4 is the biggest 7D album yet! 2 part album, 14 mixes, 14 hours of music, and at least 10 genres of music! Featuring some very, very strong talent, and a Nu Foundation tribute mix, this volume should be in the 7D hall of fame (if there ever was one). Currently still waiting on the stats for this one, but I am sure it will be at least 4000+ downloads!
7D 5. The only thing I can say for this one at this moment is, WHAT A LINEUP!
Now, all of this said, 7D would not be happening if it wasnt for the Djs, artwork artists, and the fans! I would like to personally thank the following people for making 7D possible (all names will be facebook user names):
James Bassdrop (Sarcsatro), if it wasnt for this guy, there would be no 7D website, the albums would not be as easily accessible as they are now.
Corey Cutting (Tamerax), thank you for being involved with 7D 1 and 7D 4. Also the artwork for 7D 1.
Naturatech, thank you for your hard work on the 7D 2 artwork.
Olly Clap (Archefluxx), thank you for providing 13 free tracks on 7D 2, the artwork
for 7D 3, and your contribution to 7D 2 and 4
Charmain Pompeybird Conway, thank you for the 7D 4 artwork! Stunning job!
Dj Triquatra, if it wasnt for you, I wouldnt have had anywhere to host the first and second album until the 7D website was complete. I thank you for that.
Simon Stracey (Stray), our partnership is awesome! Thank you for spamming the hell out of forums for 7D, and bringing some serious freeform in 7D 3.
The Original Seven! Corey Cutting (Tamerax), Eric Normandin (Type-Z.E.R.O), Eric Lauzon (Dj Eko), Eric Mulligan (Dj Reverie), James Bassdrop (Sarcastro), Gill Kingsley (Tampered DNA).
Will Mumbles (Dj Mumbles), thank you for agreeing to be a regular, you bring tons of variety to the 7D series.
SeppiSan (forum user), yes, I do notice. You sir, spread 7D everywhere. When I am bored I occasionally google 7D, and a lot of the search results come up in forums where you posted about 7D, and I thank you for that!
Pretty much all the 7D Djs! Corey Cutting (Tamerax), Eric Normandin (Type-Z.E.R.O), Eric Lauzon (Dj Eko), Eric Mulligan (Dj Reverie), James Bassdrop (Sarcastro), Gill Kingsley (Tampered DNA), Olly Clap (Archefluxx), Simon Stracey (Stray), Brian K (Brian K), Jay Dubldrop (Dubldrop), Joe Rowe (Joe Rowe), Daniel Nilsson (D.N1lsson), Stephen Conrad (Dj Midli), Dean Slack (DMS), Adam Raitanen (exT), Gary Amor (Audio Warfare), Chris Hobbs (Twisted Funk/Chris Freefall), Chris George Zuger (Chris George Zuger), Olly Goddard (Olly Addictive), Rick Roy (Woblz), Jorge Jimenez (JAJ), William Swartzell (Dj Daft), Craig C-Regz (C-Regz), Stu Hyland (Mortis), and to the future 7D Djs! 7D would not be happening without you guys!
Alright so, As I sit here in my chair, listening to applicants for 7D 6, I am pretty sure I have said everything I need to say. So to conclude this, I would just like to thank everyone again.
Thank you!!!!!!
Steven Seguin.

Bet that took some time to write!
Good on you mate for putting so much effort into creating and growing such a great series, and not least for giving an old man a taste of the big time.
Long may it continue :-)

Im so gracious for being a part of this. Its a project thats grown so rapidly, and Im delighted that you've allowed me to mix, do art and release my tracks through the album :)
Im sorry I couldnt do more when asked upon. Time hasnt been on my side recently, and it wont be for years to come, but I intend to help the album edge forward whenever I can!
