I'm thoroughly expecting nothing but stereotypical responses of what you think aussies are actually like, but in true aussie fashion, i'm not really phased.
It's a celebration of everything australian so naturally we eat a lot of meat and drink a lot of beer.
But i think we should all celebrate as, without australians, we wouldn't have electric drills, latex gloves, xerox photocopiers, electronic pacemakers, cure for the bubonic plague and just about every other infection, the bionic ear, cervical cancer vaccine, google maps and last but not least, wifi internet itself.

Ha, I guess you were referring to me. I listened to the song you posted and I wasn't a huge fan. I guess it's good because it patriotic but "Down Under" is just so much happier and just sounds so much better. My family and their friends in Australia also told me this is the unofficial anthem, but in the end it's up to personal preference.
