It's normally sugars that cause skin reactions like that, so yeah, might be an idea to change what you drink, but take into account the sugar-factor, compare the sugars to other drinks etc and see which works best for you. Probably is best to avoid cider in that case.

Also if sugars are giving you that reaction I'd start being a bit watchful of diabetes etc. try and keep an eye on your sugar intake etc.

I'm allergic to most things with fur (however I still have a cat, who funnily enough even though he's long haired doesn't make me sneeze, and i ride horses)
and the most random thing ever I am allergic to mosquito bites...it ****ing sucks

My cousin is allergic to excess sugar. Any more than a minimal daily intake will set him off. He copes with it fine but it annoys the blue hell out of everyone else.
