Just a basic question really, what else in the musical world are you actively pursuing? I'm talking scenes and goings on in particular, maybe you're up to date with all the Tidy Podcasts or actively follow the ska/punk scene? Feel free to post some links of the stuff you're interested in.
This isn't about music from the past you like, just any scene still being represented nowadays, even if the artist/genre itself is old
For me I'm following;
Electro House via the Lazy Rich Podcast: itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-lazy-rich-show/id402898831
Lots of filth which might surprise some, it works well with electro although I personally liked the french tecktonik stuff. Lazy Rich's shows never disappoint IMO
I love uplifting, glamourous disco house but don't take part in the scene much as the clubs tend to be a bit meat-market where I am. I also frequently listen to di.fm discohouse. (www.di.fm/discohouse/)
I catch up with DJ Harv a good friend of mine for my weekly dose of Tech/Progressive House on the Tuesday Tech Show at Midnight GMT RadioactiveFM (http://www.radioactivefm.co.uk/) great host and always plays great tunes.
I follow a few Psychedelic rock/space rock bands and their outings, mainly 60s revival stuff but they're always great fun to go and see and their music is honestly some of the most psychedelic stuff I've ever heard, and I say that as a diehard psytrance fan.
Speaking of Psytrance I never fail to catch DJ Glassball's show every first thursday of the month on www.di.fm/goapsy/ representing the full on sounds of psytrance. His mixing is absolutely top-notch and every set blows me away (http://soundcloud.com/glassball-psy)
For the darker side of psy I tend to watch Parvati Records and a few other forest labels, plus I'm always keeping an eye on http://www.ektoplazm.com/ which has loads and loads of great psy of all styles, all completely free creative-commons releases representing virtually every side of psychedelic electronic music.
For Goa I have a whole bunch of labels I follow but the prime example for me is Suntrip Records, a great neo-goa label with hugely talented artists. My favorite has to be E-Mantra but honestly, everything on this label is mind-blowingly good. http://www.suntriprecords.com/releases/
Also just caught drift of Paul Oakenfold's new show "Full on Fluoro" which is on di.fm/trance at 9pm on a Tuesday, basically merging the more popular fresh trance with psychedelic trance with some neo-goa hints in there too. Just heard the first episode today and liked what I heard a lot, hopefully there will be some Perfecto Fluoro events nearby soon. http://soundcloud.com/perfecto-records-fluoro/paul-oakenfold-fof-08-december
Speaking of trance I also follow the Trance Around The World Podcast by Above and Beyond, not all of it is to my taste, but the good tracks are normally REALLY good so I do my best to keep an ear out. www.trancearoundtheworld.com/
I'm also a big fan of Turntablist DJ Spooky who does regular mixtapes and a few albums every now and again, his style is sometimes described as 'illbient' which is kind of like chilled out soundscapes with lots of New York avant-garde influence and underground hip hop fused inbetween, really bizzare stuff.
What's everyone else listening to? Plug your favorite DJs, artists, labels and sounds and spread some music!
EDIT: I also make use of the My Beatport function on Beatport, it's really good for following labels and artists and having all their new tracks in one place. Hit the "play all" button, get busy with whatever you're doing and add to basket the stuff you like. Great tool.

I listen to everything that feels right according to my taste. Sometimes Hardcore, sometimes dnb/dubstep (I KNOW, they aren't related at all), sometimes brutal death metal, maybe some Sven Vth or Kraftwerk... Or maybe some older Swedish hip hop?

depends which week it is, last week I went on a Disco hunt and spent a week catching up with nu skool disco, the week before it was old skool german hard trance..basically I cycle through weeks and genres..glitch and chillout is are overriding genre's that i'm constantly scouring soundcloud and the web for - but these days I tend to pay far more attention to politics, must be getting old!

Pretty much everything, to be honest.
I'm looking at releases weekly on Hard Trance, Hard House, Psy Trance, House, Electro House, Hardcore, DnB, Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Alternative Rock, Nu Metal, Hardstyle and Pop.
I've also downloaded quite a bit of 90s Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk and Country. Love me some Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers.

I usually have a look through new, featured and top tracks on TID, mostly house, techno, dubstep and breaks. I might have a look at trance now and then, but usually I'm disappointed.
Lazy Rich makes great basslines.
Neko, if you like disco house, I suggest looking into Stardust Records and Bid Muzik. I don't think they do podcasts, but the music they release is great.

These days I usually research about Hardcore only, because most of the other genres turn out to be boring today.
I am still looking for old school electronic music (especially my childhood memories from the 90s) and I check some of the Trance and Symphonic Metal tracks I listen to, when I swithch through the "more independant" music-tv-stations.
At work, I get tortured by today's Pop-music, but things have switched slightly. In this year the amount of released Pop-songs I like, was bigger thanm during the last 15 years.
My current favorite Pop-track is an Australian one, which includes some kind of dingy magical sounds I'd associate to drug related things and getting carried away. I don't know why, but it feels crazy.
