Just wondering what events people have seen so me and my mates can make an informed decision! Looking for something near London Oxford pref. but may travel if it's worth it. Not even considering Bowlers though, **** that for a mission.
Doesn't have to be Hardcore, just rave music of some type. No strictly DnB parties though! Here's what I've found so far:
London:
*Spectrum* (2 rooms - Breaks, House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)
*Vinyl Touch* (3 rooms - Breakbeat, Drum & Bass, Old Skool, Jungle, House, Electro, Dubstep, Big Beat & Nu Funk, Hip Hop, Club Classics)
*Raindance* (2 rooms - Oldschool/DnB and Jungle)
*Earthquake* (3 rooms Acid House/Oldskool/Jungle & DnB)
Coalville, Leicestershire:
*Hard House A.L.I.V.E.* (4 rooms - Hard House)
Bournemouth:
*Hardcore Heaven* (2 rooms - Hardcore)

Moondance 100% Classics is where I'll be:
Club Hidden in Vauxhall, London.
Room 1: Old Skool Hardcore (Sy and Billy Bunter will be there)
Room 2: Jungle Classics
Room 3: Classic House and Club Classics
Classics classics classics, it's set to be a classic night.

If classic hardcore at that event means 91-93 breaks then that's just golden!
Those other London events listed by AW also look good, of course I'll attend none of the events listed in this thread, guaranteed :p

Didn't notice Moondance was on, nice one. TBH though as much as I love my oldskool I'm bored of the events as everyone rinses the same old tunes. After going to loads of olskool events for years it all gets a bit tired!

Yeah, I find a big problem with old skool is that it often means 1992 breakbeat stuff which isn't really my bag, I'm more into 97 kinda oldskool but it's so difficult to hear out. I'll literally be staying in the club classics room the whole time, I think that room is gonna be fairly low key but the DJs playing are gonna be a bit surprised by me going mental to all the old house tunes =P
History of Hardcore = major anthem bashing, last time I went I heard SMD #2 played by literally every single DJ in the old skool room.

That's because 97 stuff isn't really oldskool, that's just Happy Hardcore. Plenty of it at things like HTID but yeah good luck ever finding an event dedicated to it.

I go to parties like HTID and that all the time and barely ever here any mid-late 90's Happy Hardcore. :( There was like 2 sets or something over the whole of HTID in the sun!! Would love to hear more of it. Me and Chris Freefall played a set of it at Raver Queen though the other week though, good times. :D

Yeah i guess there is no Dutch stuff either played at that event. At the usual events though there is an entire room dedicated to 90s stuff.
