@Lorenzo A 9mm strapped to his back in class?!? Jesus.
I live on the north shore, so we dont really have any problems with violence. One time when I was at a debate tournament in evanston, however, a kid was shot right outside our window. We ignored it and continued to debate about political discourse lol
@NekoShuffle Do you really feel the need to constantly look over your shoulder, no matter where you are? That blows. I went to Ireland like three summers ago and I didn't get an extreme vibe like that, but then again i was with my parents. I did see a cop arrest a guy who was rolling joints though. It was hilarious.
I went to the UK when I was like one but I obviously can't remember any of that

Ireland I have no idea about, I'm english and the irish apparently don't like us for some reason so it'd be a different circumstance. I've never cared to go there anyway.
It's not constant looking behind but it's just kind of like, when it gets dark the streets get empty pretty quickly here and you're normally left with some shady people wandering about who might well be the nicest people ever but I always hear so many cases of teenagers getting stabbed and kicked to death and stuff that personally I stay cautious, you may get some people who will follow you and stuff but you just have to look confident but calm and most people stay away.
The north of england tends to be a bit more sketchy than the south in my experience, every time I've gone raving up there I've seen some serious shit or some shit has happened to me. But in the South things seem a bit more chilled. I know some members may object to that but it's just personal experience really, my city is known for tolerance and being accepting of all kinds of people yet I've had people throw things at me and yell things at me just for dressing differently so it's just a case of - some people are twats, try and avoid them and hope you don't get too involved with them.
