In a google search for happyhardcore.com (as oppose to typing out the address properly to access the site) this came up in the list of links under the main result:
http://www.happyhardcore.com/records/record_artistprofile.asp?action=artistdisplay&artistinfoid=3188

LOL indeed.

Edit: So it appears this is in fact not a joke. Who on earth thought the artist name 'LOL' would be a good idea, and why has no one pointed this out yet.

I'm assuming those aren't actual names.

Negative. Is this for real? Clearly it was the idea of the record label to use a name that would be 'hip' with all the kids.

Well apparently LMFAO got far enough :) But it's also not as 'famous' as 'lol' and when I hear 'LMFAO' I always think of the two guys, whereas when I hear 'lol' I don't actually think of 'LOL' lol!

After a ten second skip through the intro I haven't seen or heard it, though I have heard of it.

holy shit you weren't kidding! I imagine it's the most viewed video of all time with that #.

btw I didn't know of the original until after I bought the remix from TID

Personally I don't mind the original. Pretty catchy, but I like the remix from Fresh Cut Bootys more

Not heard or heard of it. I don't listen to pop music and aren't otherwise exposed to this rubbish.

I envy you, they played it in the radio here a lot (which is always on at work). Makes you want to stab your ear drum with a rusty fork.

I'll forgive you for saying that given the terrible selection of music you have in the US in the mainstream. This is probably as electronic it gets there right?

I can listen to the song without pulling out a knife and stabbing someone as long as I don't hear it too often. I don't listen to the radio much, so I'm pretty safe on that. My definition of terrible.

Because they think it's cool, so they're doing it.
