I'll take a stab at recreating it later, I'm going to a wedding right now :P And if the note accuracy is giving you troubles, listen to the track without the pitch up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57eMsYgHA9A

I recommend pitching the tune down a lot son you can hear the notes slowly.

1) figure out the bassline notes (and ONLY those)
2) figure out the chord progression
3) figure out the rhythm (tap your midi controller on a single note to get it right easily)
4) go through it all and fix it to the right notes

if I'm bored tomorrow I'll do it

pitching it down for a noob will give you the wrong notes.....

my advice would be to loop it & match the notes in the piano roll, use your ears & if it sounds off........ it is.

loop the first bar, get it right & move on to the next bar, you'll be there in no time

The notes will be right, the key will just be different, which can just be changed to what it should be in a second anyway (not that it matters).

Don't mention it! I'll do a recreation of shooting star but it might take some time. I have school all day tomorrow and then gears of war 3 comes out the next day. In the mean time, you could watch kev willow's videos on youtube he was a great help when I was getting started.

The First War (Freeform): http://www.mediafire.com/?2qzfr5w8mlzmqzk
Hype the Core (UK Hardcore): http://www.mediafire.com/?6p6k8ttid4xieos

There were midi files for various Bang! tunes i think. But they got taken down or something like that. If the author of those songs happens to see this post (since he posts here occasionaly) maybe he will explain why.
