Has any body seen this/does any body watch it?
I'm mid-way through series three and it is absolutely superb. It is just getting better, and better. Extremely dark, but also extremely funny in places. The acting is very, very good as well.
For those of you that are in the US - is this show popular over there? I think I read somewhere that Bryan Cranston has won a couple of Emmys for it? (For those not familiar with him, he was the dad in Malcolm In The Middle. He has been superbly cast in this role, outstanding).

it has some pretty crazy subject matter, so i wouldn't say it's popular because of that. i personally think that it is a great show but i think a lot of people just write it off as a drug show
love how the series grabs you right at the start!

Very good show been watching it since it started, don't know a lot of people who do watch it fully though.

Well, this is exactly what I was worried about. Another excellent show, the future of which might be in jeopardy because of low viewing figures. Well, maybe with three back-to-back Emmy's for Outstanding Lead, they might not cancel it, but this reminds me of what happened with an HBO show called Deadwood in the mid 2000's. Three seasons of seriously high-quality stuff, only to be cancelled because of low viewing figures.
Back to Breaking Bad. I love how patient they are with it. During the first season, I was thinking they might be tempted to go the same way as Weeds (anyone seen that? Love that show too, but for totally different reasons). But they are right on the cusp of keeping it serious vs ridiculous. It's very finely balanced. Fcuking love it.
You guys (in The US) spend so much more cash on making awesome TV shows. The quality of stuff made her is un-fcuking-believably poor.

similar, a bit longer, great characters. (one is pretty hot but you gotta make the call)

And if you're talking about the main character, Nancy - that's a no-brainer man. TOTAL minx.
Doug Wilson (the accountant that just follows them around) is pure comedy genius of a character.

I do and I hope this cheap "my cancer is back"-thing drops off quicky; besides that, i loved - next to the idea from Walts DVD - the spider scene in last episode! :D
