I'm planning to get a recovery up and running in Sydney. I've got a venue that would hold 300, easy and its nice and central to the CBD, just up the road from the train station. The owners do not want people smoking inside because it wrecks the floorboards. This could present some problems, but, it is dirt cheap to hire out. The music to be played would be mostly hardcore ( UK, European, Australian etc) and if anyone has any suggestions for other genres then I'll be glad to hear from you. If anyone wants to help out, just let us know. I guess the thing is to keep it small. IT would be great if there was a weekly venue where ravers could recover. A bit like the days where people used to meet at Sydney Park to recover. There is a park close by ( 2 min walk). I'm thinking of an entry price of $10.00 and run it from like 9 am to about 4 or 5 pm. Anyone got any comments? Any DJs wanting to play?

That is one idea to lay down carpet, but, that creates another problem because it tends to fold up and there is the chance of people tripping. Another problem is transporting the carpet.
