Does anyone know how to record from a tape to pc and convert it into mp3 format?

the best hardcore is on Tape!!!! and i have lots of tapes.. but i feel there a bit old and will brake soon and i dont wanna loose my favourites

you could just get a phono-3.5mm jack and plug it in the line out of the tape deck into the line in of your soundcard at the back of the pc...but there's no way of monitoring it that way.

i'm assuming it's separates you have. if so,plug the tape deck into something like cd or aux input,then you should have a tape line out in the back of your amp,plug that into your soundcard.

for software you'll need a program like soundforge,and that'll let you record to your hard drive and save in mp3 format.

only demo's i'm afraid. another 2 programs to think about are cool edit and wavelab,if sound forge doesn't have a demo then the other 2 do
