So back when I was first getting into EDM, some three or four years ago, I remember listening to Covenant. I didn't know what it was, who they were, but I liked the songs for their melodies and most of all the lyrics. They were always so deep, yet it wasn't the type to turn you away. I lost their music some two years ago, and I forgot about them and just recently discovered them again.

Now, that is when I realized they released their music in the mid '90s to early '00s which surprised me. Anyone else listen to them before?

First song I heard:

Seen the Swedes live 3 times - I like their style. Unfortunately Clas Nachmanson left a few years ago and they have not been as good. Although his replacement (Daniel Myer from Haujobb) is a talented guy he's just not covenant for me. They are good live though, especially when they play their back catalogue.

Covenant - We make Ritual Noise, complete with some added live drumming at the end!

Of course Deadstars, Figurehead, Stalker, We Are The Men, Like Tears In Rain, We Stand Alone, Brave New World etc have been huge club hits, nothing will ever beat call the ships to port for me (Northern Light from 2002 was just a fantastic album).

Covenant - Call The Ships To Port:

As for their remix work, I particularly like their versions of Seabounds - Torn and Clair Voyant's - Love The Giver, both great songs in their own right but nice Covenant touches on the remixes.

Seabound - Torn (Covenant Remix)

Claire Voyant - Love The Giver (Covenant Remix)

Finally their latest single is not bad, a bit different mind you.
Covenant - Lightbringer (Feat. Necro Facility)

Yeah that whole album is pretty class, I liked it a lot. Was the first one I bought, actually, when I rediscovered them at the time of this thread. Is that single you put up a part of an album? I've seen multiple songs with that cover (the picture in the video) and no actual album to buy.

Yeah it's from their latest, released earlier this year called Modern Ruin, but I'm afraid the album wasn't up to their usual high standard. Although there was a faster version of the single on the 2nd CD which was pretty decent.

I always liked the US Remix of Theremin. I went through a bit of a synthpop stage with namnambulu, seabound, back and to the left etc.

Silent and Invisible is a good song, if that's what it's called. Been years since I heard it.

Any idea where I could buy it?

I suspect Amazon would be best for your side of the world: http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Ruin-Limited-Covenant/dp/B004FZAYIO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1306565193&sr=8-7

Or direct from good old Metropolis Records: http://www.metropolis-records.com/artist/covenant

I might of been listening to EDM for five or six years, I honestly forget, because it was a year or two when I discovered Cotts who turned me to this site and I signed up. I grew up listening to Hip Hop, R&B and Rap, then I moved to Rock, and then EDM.
