Alright Girls.
Not an enormous announcement as such, and barely warrants a new topic, but what the hey.
I've finally sorted out direct downloads now. The files are all still hosted on the site that you've been used to seeing when clicking the little orange download icon. That site is beatplexity.com, and is owned by a good friend of mine. Out of respect for him, I didn't use direct links. Bit of a piss-take to host all my music on his site, and then just rape him by using direct links.
Anyways, I've been talking to him recently and he's agreed to let me use direct links now, and I'l sort him out a bit of cash. Works well for me, because I was having hassle trying to sort out my own server and what not.
It's not a huge deal - after all, it's simply one click less - but I think the psychology of it is the big thing. Should appeal to people. I'm going to go back and amend the more popular tracks with direct links, but I don't really have the time to do it for about 400 tracks or whatever the count is at now. Everything going forward, though, will be direct.
Other than that, I've got a couple of things in the works - idea wise.
If anyone has any ideas how I can raise the profile of the blog, please share them here. The reception has been amazing so far. I get a good number of e-mails from people saying how grateful they are. That's great to hear, and mainly why I do it. But I'd really like to make the site known to more people. There's thousands of potential users out there that would love it, I'm sure.

I need marketing ideas. Ones that cost, preferably, nothing or very little. And ones that don't constitute mindless spamming.
For example: Getting a relatively well known DJ(s) to do guest mixes for me.
That kinda stuff.

you serious? i've just run a URL virus scan on it from http://www.virustotal.com and nothing is coming up...just looks like drupal needs updating
