My friend hates knobs compared to faders; he says that it's difficult to be accurate with them. I say that as long as the equipment is manufactured properly and the appropriate markings are given, knobs are just as accurate as faders and also take up less space.
What do you think? If it matters, he's a video guy and I'm more of an audio guy.
