Hi guys, since this is kinda covering 2 topics I wasn't sure which part of the board to post it on... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong tho!  I've been really busy doing Hardcore related stuff the last few weeks and this is what's been taking up most of my spare time...
It's been a long time since Leeds had a Hardcore night so I thought it was about time to do something about it and get one on the go 
For our first event we've got Kevin Energy coming up all the way from darn sarf to raise our roof with his trademark brand of firing freeform, midlands musical magician DJ Cruze pulling some upfront anthems out of his hat (joined by his glamorous TrackMaster Music assistant MC Smokin') as well as a carefully selected supporting cast including myself, Viper, Todd Daniels b2b Cosmic, Looby, Steve Ripley and MC's MRC, Arnie and Hypavibe.
There are maybe a couple of names you don't recognise there, but I am really selective about who plays and I wouldn't try to fob you off with any numpties who fill their sets with 2/3 year old + overplayed top-tier anthems and gash pop music remixes... there's a bit of everything in there from crowd pleasers to harder stuff to breaks to oldskool-Happy so it'll be nice and varied on the night  I've got a strict "No twats" policy for picking MC's too

Advance tickets are £7(+bf) and you can get them from We Got Tickets - otherwise it'll be £10 on the door so maybe it's worth getting them in advance and saving yourself a couple of squid... We'll be giving away merchandise on the night and doing some fun stuff like a rave quiz too
The venue is rave-friendly and really popular in Leeds, we've hired the middle floor - it's not too big, not too small, and just the right amount of dark and dirty that you'd want for a good rave up
Finally - thanks for checking this out and showing an interest - the aim is to build on this and do lots more varied Hardcore / Hard Dance / Oldskool lineups in the future so all your support is muchos appreciated! Help yourself to a free Darts track - it was a bit of an experiment to make something that sounded like early 00's Hardcore, I think it came out ok, you can have it for nothing

MASSIVE respect to anyone putting on new events in the current economic climate, especially events up north where hardcore isnt as popular. Im only an hour away, so Im really keen to try and get myself to this one and show my support! Just gunna have to decide on a method of travel. How close is it to the train station mate?

That looks like a superb night. I would most definitely be there if I was back in England. My best mate goes to Uni there, so I could use that as some kind of flimsy excuse to get him to go, i.e drive me up there. "Yeah, but it's Leeds Will - you know it well......" "Ahhh, I spose, but you better by my a KFC in the morning".

Redwingz - thanks for the support, be good to see you there, make sure you introduce yourself! The venue is just outside the main city centre, it's about 5-10 mins walk from the bus station and probs about 20 mins from the train station. This link should bring it up on Google maps for you
In a taxi from the train station, you'd be looking at about 5 minutes
Jay - likewise, it would be ace if you could make it... bit of a trek from Vietnam hey I can't think of a better place to catch up with your friend though!
Dean - very much hoping you can make it too mate, be ace to have a catch up with you and talk tunes n stuff!

Glad to see this getting off the ground mate. :D I'm playing down my way that night but I'll be sure to make the mission up there for a future event.

Hi guys - couple of updates on this event for you...
UPDATE #1 - this will now be Kevin Energy's final DJ appearance in Leeds (click here for more info if you've been living in a mud hut without any internet for the last couple of days) so don't miss your last chance to see and hear one of rave music's true pioneers in action!
UPDATE #2 - following negotiations with the venue we have now reduced advance tickets to just 5 (+small booking fee) and we are now hosting this event in the MAIN ROOM at Stinkys Peephouse!
So what does this mean for you? It means an improved state of the art Funktion One soundsystem, luxurious lounge area, outdoor garden chillout area, 2 bars and a quality lineup of Hardcore and Hard Dance artists - all for a fiver!
