... of pace!
i don't know how long this feature has been around for in its present form, but i recently discovered a tolerable key-locking feature on traktor. this is great news for me anyway.
why is this cool? HHC vocalists don't sound like drag queens when you play a track slower than it is intended to be played. you can now truly mix anything with anything else. and that is the good news. (plus sometimes happy hardcore can be too fast)
i remember that key locking used to be really unbearable, now it's clean.
i'll try to upload something for y'all to hear unless you for some reason have traktor. preferences > transport > key lock > select HiQ and Normal, then slow the track down.
even present day stuff can now sound a little more... old skool somehow.

here is a bit of a mix...
http://www.4shared.com/audio/nnWw0C4e/soundslikeoldskool.html now, i know what you're saying... this feature is available, so what? it's lame and happy hardcore should be fast. it's almost starts to sound like epic/vocal trance at some point i think. i for one think it's cool to hear it delivered to my ears in a different way. what's your take?

I personally would nudge it up a bit tempo-wise like you said in the other post but I still think it's a really cool idea. It reminds me of Paulina Taylor playing slower rmx's of hardcore choons as Kage 12 years ago. I'm concluding from you're explanation that this could be done to play slower hard trance and the like with faster hardcore without it sounding chipmunky, correct?
