So I have a vocal. I want a nice pad based on a reverb of it. One option I've tried is Cubase's RoomWorks plugin, which has a Hold button; press it and the reverb at the point that it was pressed becomes infinite. But (there's always a but!) I've found it way too glitchy for me. It randomly loses the hold position (resulting in silence) or randomly causing silent clipping (the meters for the track and master go infinitely hot, but there's no sound).

Any ideas/suggestions for a different way that's (probably) guaranteed to work?

Never mind this, I'm a dummy. :P The solution is to just record the infinite delay for as long as needed and go from there.
