I locked the other thread by mistake
I threw this one together yesterday. It's my first hard house mix in a few days shy of a year so I thought I'd share it with you guys. I really love mixing hard house, in some ways I enjoy it more than mixing hardcore. This mix has a tinge of old skool 90's dance about it too.
Stream & d/l link: http://www.house-mixes.com/profile/Mortis/play/mortis---nrg-mix-07-03-11 Split track version: http://www.4shared.com/file/bFW0LBGX/Mortis_-_NRG_Mix_07_03_11.html Tons of feedback welcome *edit* Link updated with split track version.

It was a 'joke' (if you can call it that)
Forget about it, it sounded much funnier in my head.

35 downloads so far, no bad for an afternoon. Currently #9 of the most popular hard dance mixes on house-mixes.com

Is there any chance of you putting this somewhere you don't have to register to download like 4shared?

Very nice mix, some really good tunes i've not heard for years and loads of new ones.
Which is the track that samples the horn track by the way, I think it's towards the start of the mix?
Nrg is a bit of an enigma to me, there are some absolutely classic tunes from years ago but I wouldn't know where to turn if I wanted some innovative new Nrg other than those useless 'bargain bucket aatw top of the pops megamix' albums. Could you possibly point me in the direction of any good albums?

You don't have to register to d/l from house-mixes but I should be putting up a full version on 4shared later today.

First of all, thanks for listening, I appreciate the time you take to listen to my stuff .
Second, to be honest I'm not really sure where to buy albums with this stuff. I've only been scratching the surface of the genre for a year so I'm not really up on it myself. The only TV advert I've seen is the horrible NRG album from M.O.S. I think and that's just scouse/bounce/donk/chimps banging teapots. I got all of these tracks from trackitdown.
You'll have to point me to a sample of the horn track so I can ID it for you.

It's now #4 on the most popular hard dance mixes with 58 plays/downloads and the second "hottest" hard dance mix on house-mixes.com

Well, it's now had 84 plays/downloads in just over 24 hours. It's the #2 most popular mix and THE hottest mix in the hard dance category on house-mixes.com. Not bad eh?

I listened to it today. If this is Hard House, I definetly need to reclassify my files.

F&ck me dead, I'll be having more of that thanks. Do you have the link for it as a continuous mix?
Anything post 2000 with the word house in it, I've avoided like the plague. That's what commercial music does to a person :'(

Did you like it then? If so then I've got some more that I mixed early last year: http://www.house-mixes.com/profile/Mortis and find "Often Imitated" & "15V Pick Up 1 & 2".

You can d/l it from the first link in the OP.
