How would on go about making the high end lead like in this song?
I have heard it in older hip-hop and I have always loved it. Could anyone help me out, I think I asked this before but I cant find the thread.

Im listening through laptop speakers so cant hear fine details..

Overall i'd say you want to start with a monophonic synth or setting on your synth. Add portamento/glide so the notes slide into each over like that.

Oscillator wise perhaps some kind square/pulse or even triangle.

Reminds me of the old Dre G-Funk sound which was the same but with a sine wave

i got sumthing close to it using sylenth1 in like 3mins. but than i gave up cause i was like "why am i wasting my time doing this again?"
