My father brought this sequencer (?) from his job and I got a little interested, and I wonder if it's good despite it's age.

We have one and it's a load of rubbish. It will be a complete waste of your time even trying to use it.
So, as a special favour, you can carefully package it up and send it to me and, as an even bigger favour, I won't charge you a single Krone.

It's good for samples and that kind of thing. Wouldn't use it for it's sequencer though unless i had nothing else and wanted to play around. Age is completely irrelevant, in fact it's a good thing. The best synths are from the 70's/80's/early 90's for example.

It's an excellent bit of kit and we've got one in the studio. Midi it up to your computer and use it or, as Hard2Get has already said, use it for samples etc.

It's excellent to use on it's own for a good bit of fun and the sounds can be sampled. Don't throw it away! OK?

A knob is broken but I think we'll manage to fix it. I havn't tried it out yet but it seems like a nice piece of equipment

Yes i don't think a broken knob is going to be much of an inhibitor of it's use lol.
