I'm torn between getting a CDJ set up or having a go at laptop mixing - might even try both.
So the question is, what can you let suggest (for either or both). I am quite limited for space and don't particularly want to go mad on money when i might get bored of mixing again in 2 weeks!
Thanks in advance :-)

It's a tricky one that aint it? I love mixing on CDJ's myself, almost as much as mixing on vinyl. A lot of people slag off the CD decks because "it doesn't fee like you're doing anything, just pushing buttons". Well, you're not really just pushing buttons. It still requires some skill.
I've never tried laptop mixing though so I couldn't tell you what that's like.
I would say go for CDJ :)

Try going for both - CDJ's with Timecode system. You won't have to burn any CD's but just play your digital tracks onto the CDJ's instead :) It will cost a bit more but CD's cost aswell...
Just please don't go for laptop mixing, it's crap and it's not real mixing!!

I went from vinyl mixing into laptop mixing lately, didnt think I would enjoy it as much but I am really really loving it. my set up didnt cost a fortune, I have gemini groove software, highly recomend this, its around 50 and you can use it with alot of controllers too I use a Behringer BCD3000. here is a list of controllers you can use with gemini groove, *Pre-Mapped for standard Qwerty computer keyboard as well as built in support for e-mix MP1200, Behringer BCD3000, Hercules DJ Console RMX, Vestax VCM-100 and Vestax VCI-100 midi controllers.
Hope this helps!

Otus, it goes on top of your turntable. Its made by a finnish company, which automatically makes it awesome. No idea how good it is though, as i'm not a DJ.

Cheers lads.
Ideally, i'd love to stick with vinyl but it's just not feasible these days. Think i'll go for CDJ to start mixing again but do the other for my own amusement!
