I am so totally fascinated! Today I listened to the radio, heared this song and I could hardly believe it.
Although I totally hate Pop Music, I have noticed more and more of the producers get addicted to the sound of Happy Hardcore. Listen to this track and tell me, if I am wrong!
Now I am so tremendously interested into music's future, I found myself giggling like a smallish girl. WE definetly reached the edge to becoming realised by all those averages. I just found this unf****** believable...
Never ever in my dreams I could have imagined this might become true. Finally people seem to be pissed off that crap "mothf***** everything is wack" Rap sound.

I think I'm missing the Happy Hardcore-esque aspect of this song... would it be the break or the higher pitched singing?

I wouldn't have created this post in the "other genres", if I am sure, this is Happy Hardcore. To myself this song is more compareable with Eurodance. But this genre has been the connector between the 80's synthesiser sound and Hardcore Techno, so I am definetly sure that this Pop Music producing bastards currently are joining the US-raves and catch up these tunes.
Finally this crappy Rap-shit style is getting antiquated!
@8D Like I already said, I hate Pop Music. Of course Nelly Furtado is not producing her muisc by herself. Just like all those bitches out there, who needed to do prostitution today, if not having slept with the right person at the right time (Gaga, Beyonc, Kescha, Katy Perry, etc.).
I only got interessted by her Dancehall stuff produced by Timbaland ("Morning After Dark").

I am sorry, if my post sounded being annoyed.
Well, first of all you have this exaggeratedly happy sound pervading this song from beginning to the end.
You named the break part and the higher pitched singing of that part. Yes, that might be another aspect, but this has been used by other genres as well. So I am not really sure, if you should mention it, but the whole structure reminds me of the happy tunes back, when Eurodance was big.
I do connect lyrics about love, happiness and party to the EDM and specialy the happy tunes. It has been used in Eurodance, HHC, Trance and others before. Pop music only grapped these, when the generally taste of music became more club addicted like the mentioned genres/styles.
Last point to mention would be the speed. I haven't noticed a Pop Song being played this fast for lots of years.
