I posted this in the Tracks, mixes etc forum but realized that I should probably have posted it here instead. :p
I would say that this is my first, real proper attempt at a tune. I tried to make the tune match the progress of the game Portal (which it samples) meaning it starts soft and goes nuts in the end.

It's influenced by chiptunes (not too much, don't worry haters!) and has this electro-y part in the second part, then in the last part it goes nuts. :p

your song is good also! gets a little wierd toward the middle and end :P

sorry, i didnt read anything you posted, i just saw the link and pressed it :P
i like that you mirrored the game in that way - though someone listening without that knowledge is gonna think "wth" ;)
i liked it, probably not dark and freeformy enough, but a bit of bouncey hardcore doesnt hurt, it was right on the cusp of being dark though eh?

I have uploaded a roughly finished version now - it just needs a few tweaks. Not mastered though. I completely removed the trance synth part. :)
