Hey this is me and my mate Fusions' first real go at a hardcore track.

You might recognise the tune, it meant to be Nu skool but sounds oldskool.

Looking for tips on how to improve. we are new to this game, so looking for some advise

because we know there is a lot of talent on this forum. Thanks.

I think the drums could be livened up by perhaps a layer of breakbeats or more daring variations on the existing drum elements. They're too simple as they are imo. The stabs could be fatter or better chosen. also something is clashing with the kick and snare producing a phased sound. I think it's the clap. The structure needs reworking. The only part of the track that felt "exciting" was
3:00 . On a positive note I'd say good on ya for finishing the song. I sometimes get stuck on with my own works and don't know where else to take it. It's when you can get through that barrier when things start to fall into place. You can then see the big picture and learn from that.

btw, was the remix supposed to be "wanting to get high"?

oh, and one last thing. next time you might want to share the work encoded as mp3 or something. I was almost turned off when I saw it was a .wav (big file size).
