hi all hope everyone is good, been a member on ush for years but rarely log in , so thought i would sign up on here,
anyway ...
when you are in the mix how do you eq your mixes? i generally cut the bass out of the imcoming track and the switch the basslines when i want that track to be the more prominent in the mix, i dont really play about with the hi and mid to often maybe just to increase a bit of the vocal if i need to, i just generally set them at 12 o clock and keep em there unless i feel a certain track needs a bit of a kick or what not , also i notice more and more people mix with the volume faders and leave the x fader in the middle, ive been mixing ten plus years and always use the x fader when im actually mixing the 2 tracks together, i only use the up faders when im chopping things up. what is your way of doing it.
