Hey does anyone know of any good powered studio monitors that are kinda cheap i have some 1970 speakers running thru my 1000w home amp but they dont do so good on seperating the freq. out to the differrent speakers on it. thanks in advance for any help

You'll probably find it hard to find really good cheap monitors. These are pretty much the best for the cheapest that I've found.

also if you plan on using you're 1000 watt home amp, unless it's a reference amp, i'd forget that idea as the chances are it'll colour the sound & make your monitors sound like normal speakers

Anything from KRK is good. I have the Rokit 6's. They're 200usd a piece, so not horribly expensive and I love them to death.
