I'm freaking loving this Eurobeat music. I got "Super Eurobeat vol. 47" & "Super Eurobeat: Best of 2000". Something I noticed though, the mixing sounds very..."cut & paste" like...Is that usually how Eurobeat is mixed, or do DJs actually use the vinyl/full length versions of the songs live? I think Hardcore needs to start taking it's influence from the Eurobeat sound.

AFAIK, Super Eurobeat = compilation series. It isnt played live (meaning, the CD's arent made for DJ's), it isnt released as singles (no vinyl).
On another site i used to use, there was this one guy who was really into Super Eurobeat. Hes site is probably the biggest english one of the genre: http://eurobeat-prime.com

All I know Eurobeat from is when I used to watch Initial D!! When it was like m.o.v.e and stuff! :P I'm not really into it but I do like bubblegum dance which is relevant to this thread (somewhat) as apparently it also falls into italo-disco quite a lot too, anyone wanna pick out the finer points and tell me the difference between Bubblegum Dance, italo disco and eurobeat?

When I hear "Bubblegum dance", I think of the Venga Boys, Smile.DK, and Aqua. Isn't Eurobeat pretty much the term that was slapped to Italo-Disco once the 80's original Italo-Disco had lost it's popularity and that's when Avex in Japan picked up on the genre in the early 90s, and the Italians started making the template/format to fit the advetising sound Avex wanted?
To clarify my difference, Eurobeat (Italo-Disco) is different from "Bubblegum dance" by that Eurobeat has those crazy keyboard synths and the heavey disco-house influence.
