I'm trying to learn beatmatching on my Numark Mixdeck but i'm finding it difficult to learn with something as fast as Hardcore it might be a little too fast for a beginner like me. I think maybe starting with something like trance will make it easier to beatmatch with.
So anyone know of any compilation albums available for purchase that have a lot of fully unmixed tracks. I prefer tracks from the late 90s & early 2000s, doesn't matter whether they are anthems or underground i just prefer any trance from that era

if you're just starting with it there are some surprisingly good Decadance DJ friendly CDs will full versions on them - they were quite cheap when they came out so i would say you should still be able to get them dirt cheap!
for Trance
"Trance Anthems" first two cds are full versions, last cd is mixed
http://www.discogs.com/release/164406 "A Higher State Of Trance" 3 cds all full versions (and DJ Friendly of course) http://www.discogs.com/release/250400 for hard trance Hard Trance Anthems (though not all of these are hard trance, most are trance!) http://www.discogs.com/release/164287 if you're still after more, its worth checking out the Decadance label http://www.discogs.com/label/Decadance+Recordings as they released an absolute ton of DJ friendly cds! hope that steven! edit: speaking on a personal note - i would be aiming at house first, same sorta speed as trance, but a little less complex (often the bass doesnt kick in as early giving you lots of time to learn to beatmatch with straight beats!) so its worth seeing what house cds decadance have done too!

cool thanks triquatra!
yea 1 of my dj friends mentioned about house but i don't want to start off using the house of today. not liking most of what's out there with the exception of a few tracks. so i'll check them out for house from that same era as well.
any chance you know of albums that are available for download, or anyone else?

Theres some good stuff on Trackitdown.. is was looking for Trance the other day and used the filter for classics and theres a few good tracks.. I brought a Godskitchen comp. It had over 50 unmixed tracks aswell as the Dj mixes for under a tenner as a package. Bargin! It only came out last year I believe but theres more... saw a John '00' flemming Euphoria comp (tracks from the past 20 years) Might be worth checking out =)
